So here I am in Buenos Aires! Despite a slightly false start (no sleep for 4 nights because of humidity, noise and thunderstorms), I am having a great time discovering Buenos Aires. As you'll see from the photos - click here - I have experienced quite a lot of the town already, the centre, the beautiful parks of the leafy Palermo district, Siga la Vaca parilla (steak house), the Recoleta Cemetery and Recoleta in general, where my apartment is located. I've yet to go to San Telmo and La Boca for the street tango and the colourful houses that you probably all associate with Buenos Aires (Sunday's visit was rained off), but I intend to go as soon as I'm back from Uruguay (will be there 13-29 Jan). Photos of Punta del Este, Montevideo, Cabo Polonio and Colonia will be posted here at the beginning of February.
